@carnevale762 And , MOST IMORTANT, HBG’s Customner service is second to none at this time of posting.
HBG - Axis & Allies Parts/Accessories and Custom Piece Sets Store!

Also, we will have AA14 pieces ready for sale on Friday 3/22. Individuals and in mini sets.
I seem to recall that you had announced a few months ago that you were also planning to issue some new roundels for European minors like Slovakia and Belgium. Are those still being projected?
-
Here is the 1940 US setup, first Atlantic then Pacific. All land and air units are HBG. The AA guns and most naval vessels are OOB except for the Battleship and Carrier (I used the HBG Escort Carrier). The infantry are all airborne because we don’t have a regular infantry from HBG yet. For Artillery I used the M-7 Priest, for mechs I used the Mack Trucks and for armor I used the M-5 Stuart. The Bomber is the HBG B-25 and the fighters are P-40s. Overall I would say it looks pretty good.
Oh k! You’re forgetting about the Marine w/ tommy gun sculpt; in OD it works fine as regular infantry, and use the dark green for the Marines! I think it actually works better than using all field hats for regular German infantry…

Hey Variable are we going to get an e-mail shot to us on the 1914 pieces I put in a order on the waiting list. How will we know when the go time is on this.

Emails went out

Are the mini-sets contents set in stone?
Can’t see Germany needing any more Battleships, but might need more than 3 extra infantry, and several subs if using some strategies.
I’ll wait 'till you include Gothas.
Might I also suggest a one-cures-all set with:
Set of extra chips
Set of extra dice
4 UK infantry
4 German infantry
4 German subs
4 UK transports
4 US transports
(I don’t like using chips for ships…)
Set of sea mine markers (4 in red, 9 in blue)
Let you know if I run out of anything else.
-
Maybe a “Bolshevik” set in red for certain Russian Revolution Variants?
-
You can add on individual pieces as well to your order. Allows for full customization of sets.

You could always use his early-war sets for it (as you wouldn’t need too many fancy units anyway) along with an occasional marker or painted piece. Not historically perfect, I know, but would work for shizzle…

You mean these?

Remember, they don’t just sell in sets, so you can get just the infantry! And remember that you have the choice of 4 colors, all with a reddish hue!

Got HBG’s latest email update today… man am I excited for the new stuff coming out.
Especially looking forward to those Japanese sculpts. If that picture of the Japanese airman/paratrooper was any indication, these are going to be the most beautiful and detailed yet.
Thought the 3-D printing options for scale figures was cool too. Makes me really want one of those He-111Zs!
Keep up the great work guys.
-
Got the email as well. WOW on the Japanese paratrooper. I want those ww1 roundels or flags as well. On facebook it made it sound like you guys had those ready to go. Any ETA on those HBG? The German WW1 flag is Kick A…
-
Loving the detail on the upcoming Japanese stuff and I hope that the torpedo on the Kate can be made to work somehow. The Japanese paratrooper is well detailed but it’s another guy just standing there doing nothing. We need more infantry doing stuff. For example, the Russian infantry guy charging is most excellent. Infantry just standing at attention is boring to me. When I think of Japanese infantry of any type, I think of the Banzai charge. Otherwise, things look excellent!

We are trying to keep a standard with the Airborne units. All HBG Airborne is standing upright, some with guns. We do plan on making other Infantry and it will be more of a charging or moving stance.

I hate them without some gun. Just standing? Usually they had automatic rifles or something.
Otherwise they look like a mummy. I will show you some pictures and compare with the Mummy. Without a gun that figure will always be called Boris karloff.

OK IL, I’m going to smack you.
I will look into putting a pistol in his hand. -
It doesn’t look like a mummy. Looks fine.

That makes perfect sense. Thanks for the reply!
