This is problably one of the best prices you’re going to find: http://cgi.ebay.com/Axis-and-Allies-Anniversary-Edition-/300567071392?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item45fb318aa0#ht_500wt_1156
My brother has a copy of AA Anniversary Edition but I think he dosen’t want to sell it
Thats just crazy i cant afford that why would anyone spend that much for a boardgame, a hooker maybe……
IL is right, print his nice map out, buy a copy of Spring 42 and buy Chinese, tacs, mechs pieces from Historical Board Gaming and a Italian army set from Field Marshal games and you have a game for under $100.00.
In it all charm!
CofMany… well, he doesn’t really need the tacs or the mechs if he’s duplicating AA50th, tacs aren’t included and the mech is a tech. So actually, it’d be less money even… Just say’in.
I was planning on buying a copy of A&A 1942 and some Italian pieces. I talked to an A&A veteran and he suggested getting Europe & Pacific 1940 and just printing out the map. I have yet to print out the map for anniversary, but so far I am enjoying the games themselves. And I’m glad I made this decision. Not only will I be able to play anniversary, but I can also play Europe1940, Pacific1940, and Global1940.
Just bring your laptops over and play AA50 over tripleA.
It’s kind of sad global is not a finished map yet. As long as they can get game balance within a 20 IPC range, it’s a complete map and players can bid for the side at a disadvantage. I feel the game should make axis be at a disadvantage so making bid rules would be much easier.
aa50 is good to go, out of box with or without national objectives. If you play with national objectives, what I like to do is roll 1d6 add 5 and that’s the allies bid. :)
