@axisisthebest:
question: how long approximately does it take to play one game of pacific/europe/global. i saw somewhere that it takes about an hour to get through one round, i think they were talking about global. does that mean it takes half an hour to get through a round in the individual games? if we werent playing until the very end for example there would be a lot of conceding the game when it was a clear loss, about how many rounds would it take? 6? 7?
It does take about an hour to play a round in Global. It takes 30 to 45 minutes in one of the Theatre games. Six to eight rounds is probably as good an estimate as any.
@Sime:
I don’t have the game yet, but have been reading about it online. I had thought that if the carrier sinks, then the planes may move one movement space to land if possible. If there is no where to land, then they are lost.
Is this not the case?
It depends on the situation. If a defending carrier is damaged or sunk, its planes always have one space of movement to try to find a place to land.
The situation is a little different with attacking carriers, however. Planes belonging to the same power as the carrier are always in the air, and therefore still have their remaining movement after the battle. Planes belonging to a friendly power remain on the carrier, as it is not their turn. If the carrier is damaged, they are trapped on board until it is repaired. If the carrier is sunk, the planes are lost along with it.
@kdfsjljklgjfg:
Can you take a territory then non-combat move an AA gun into it that same turn?
Yes.
