@captainwalker sorry I didn’t see your response, but there never seems to be more than 3 of them for sale and there at least 150 plus shipping or auctioning at ridiculous prices
New information about the game
-
“Stay loose, stay loose.” And look at a compass and map not the road signs.
-
yea they must have switched those signs…
Col. Kielly: “was their anything funny about those men at the our river bridge?”
Charles Bronson: " hey what the heck!" Those engineers were MP’s! "
Col. Keilly in radio: “Attention: the our river bridge has not been blown…I repeat the our river bridge has not been blown!”
-
Does the road to Ambleve still lead to Malmedy?
-
I have one thing to say to all this battle of the bulge stuff.
NUTS!!!

FYI, the stacks of tokens behind troops are supply. If you look close you will see the crates and oil barrels.
-
Oh and now I see what you mean about the whiter thing. Yes, that does show the front. You move them to show what is controlled by whom. So everything on one side is allies other axis.
-
Why didnt they just use control markers? it seems soo simple.
-
Perhaps there are attacking bonuses for flanking a position? Or what also seems likely is that the strip tells you which way you have to retreat. You probably don’t need as many of those as you would control markers. It also looks a little cleaner than I think control markers would.

Avalon Hill will post information ( finally) on the new Bulge game on tuesday.
-
Excellent, glad to hear it. IL once again has the scoop. Kudos.
-
Since Avalon Hill fell through, I collected bits and pieces of knowledge about the game and wrote an article:
http://www.axisandallies.org/node/109It’s nothing we don’t alrady know but it’s all conveniently put together in one place.
-
heres some more stuff on the new game
-
That was very informative.  :? :| :-( :x
When do they start telling us about the game?
-
I realize as you do that they are unparalleled experts in marketing…. IT is clearly demonsrtated when they only assign one guy AKA “BOB” to make everything happen. You know full well that they have like 100 people working on any given fantasy project… even knowing full well that the BUlge will outsell all those rubbish other games put together. Axis and Allies is treated like snow white but never went to the party.
-
Eh, I don’t think that we actually need to be marketed to. Just a message that the game is coming out in November and a few pictures and we’re all ready to go out and buy it. Not much marketing required.
-
I want the game. I suppose too much information might make me not want it. That being said, more information might make me more excited and motivate me to encourage others who might be on the fence to want it.

Your first thought may be correct. Some of you will like this game. Others will not. It so departs from previous A&A strategy/tactics that you may not like it.

In a way, it seems like an A&A Minis game.
-
The hexes certainly give it the look of the minis maps.
