    I want to go on record here - you’re playing an excellent Axis, so if I’ve complained about luck a few times, it doesn’t change that fact.

    If you weren’t, I wouldn’t be complaining.  :-)

    I’ll need a great deal of skill, and a little luck to find a way to turn the corner.

    I would be struggling too if I was in your spot. I mean it is hard to make a comeback with some of the dice that happened so far.

    I might end up pushing the VC count in the pacific before I get the VCs in Europe.


  • The one that hurt the most was the Italian fleet… it took me two fleets to kill it, when one should have done it. It compromised my presence (well… ended it, really) in SZ91, which has allowed the Huns to prepare to feast upon the Tea Drinkers.

    I also wouldn’t mind if a bomber got shot down, you know… just one! Instead of intercepting Russian fighters followed by massive firebombings.  :-(

    The kamikazes were salt (4 out of 5, couldn’t even attack your freaking sub) in the many wounds.

    That’s out of my system. You’d be winning this game without any of that happening. When you play an uber-aggressive Axis, and combine it with some fortune, the floodgates crack open in this game. But you’ve been not only aggressive, but very skillful. I’ll need to sharpen my Allied game against the early attacks… I’m used to playing against G4s and J3s. This is a good wakeup call for me.

    It is just one big snowball effect.

    The only reason I can do a late game sea lion is because of what happened with the naval. Otherwise I’d buy the bombers and setup to strike russia next turn. The odds of which would depend on combat casualties for this germany turn and russia’s turn.

    This sea lion thing, was much more predictable in terms of the odds of me taking it. Plus after I get it… I no longer have to take Russia, but merely move into volgograd and hold my other vcs.
