    Have 7 games going on will probably be doing the minimum to stay out of getting bumped to death all over the place to be honest.

    I should probably just resign but would like to play a couple rounds to confirm its hopeless.

    Right - you actually still have some hope of a Pacific win, I think, which is why I’m starting to build more there.  I really wanted to put things in the Atlantic with USA but I think the only threat is from Japan taking India and then NSW

    I will not bump you if you write me a note at least once a week
    If you think you still have life, it’s not sportsmanlike of me to pressure a win without playing until you resign
    As long as you don’t abandon the game for weeks at a time

  • You know, all I’m doing is playing my game, and by the rules.

    So I broke open a destroyer block in the med and hit some techs.  That’s how you play the game.


  • I didn’t say you did anything wrong. But you get a tech per $10 bucks instead of 30, it’s game breaking.


  • Nonsense.  I had 1 bomber and its odds went from 2/3 to 90% on each attack.  I bought a second bomber.  I’m still not getting my $10 worth.

    Don’t agree to play with tech if you can’t handle it when your opponent hits.

    The dice in a typical battle (like Z98, Normandy, and Egypt that you just carried out) matter more than the techs I’ve hit (except super subs)

    Speaking of super subs, your lone destroyer handled TWO of them.
    Have I even bought ships with the UK to realize the $5 I spent on boats yet?

    The tech hits are not nearly as significant as you make them out to be.  Now if I had hit LRA at a crucial moment, that would be significant.

    But still not “game-breaking”.  After all, it’s all within the realm of possibilities.

    I said I did everything according to the rules because it’s not like I did anything cheap.

    You can play without tech and still lose 5/5 aircraft to AA fire on G1 or G2 like happened to somebody in another game.

    Don’t comment on my tech hits when you never bought any yourself.  You could have hit 5/5 by now - we’ll never know.

    I think you’re just frustrated because you’re getting beat.

    I think you might enjoy this thread. http://www.axisandallies.org/forums/index.php?topic=20330.90
    When I was searching for it, I noticed that you had started a thread asking about tech, yourself, about 2 years ago.

    I am just starting a 2nd game with Allweneedislove.  I ripped off 3 consecutive techs for $5 with America (shipyards, jets, and heavy bombers) on rounds 3, 4, and 5 I think it was.  Then I went and got a land tech, improved mech, with the UK (mostly useless, but then my odds of the all-powerful rockets or paratroopers were increased)

    Guess what?  Even though Allweneed didn’t spend one red cent on tech and I hit him with a barrage, he wants to play the 2nd game with tech also.  He is that convinced it’s a waste of money.

    Like you said, no more tech for you.  That’s understandable.  If you don’t want your opponent to get a tech that can hurt you the most when you least expect it, well, the only way to avoid that is to play no tech.

    This game has an infinite number of possibilities WITHOUT tech.  I play it because it’s fun, and more options is better and more fun in my opinion.

    Anyway, I think you will enjoy the read.  :-)
