@Washington66 Yes Wash. The starting income level for each Power is in the bank at the start. :relaxed:
Axis & Allies 1941 First Preview

Maybe he was thinking of the HMS Courageous which was sunk by a sub early on in the war. The Ark was fired at, but the torpedos missed and hit some other ships IIRC. It was sunk a year later though! :D
My Guess is a Yorktown or Indomitable… but I’m no expert!

If you watch the video in HD, you can get a much better look at the pieces.
Maybe I’ll do better photos of the pieces today instead of the game setup.
-
Please do the setup instead. If you post a picture of the map setup we will see different angles of the sculpts anyways. I personally am much more interested in the setup.
Thanks for all your quick responses. It’s much appreciated.
-
I would prefer the setup too. You could also make them both.
-
Set up would be great. I don’t care about the sculpts.
-
Couple of things I’ve noticed about the rulebook:
The silhouettes for the Tanks show different shapes than the Tiger and the IS2. But that’s not important I guess.
However, the setup chart for the U.S. clearly shows a starting income of 15 IPCs! :-o

Sorry guys, I’m going to do unit previews first. I’m going to include the new unit stats with this.
-
Setup will be tomorrow.
-
-
No, just trying to space out the articles. Also, if I did setup first, it would have revealed a lot of details about the pieces so I figured I should do pieces first.
I have the game setup on top of my laser printer right now but I’m not playing until Sunday.
Setup will be tomorrow.
Is that because your going to be trying the game out tomorrow?

I wonder what the victory conditions may be…
-
I’m betting capitals only…
-
Victory conditions are: if you can get a new friend to play this shorter version, you win!
Actually, the first one to flip the board loses.
No really, first one to own 5 battleships on the board wins! Ha!
I could go all day …
The real answer is capitals, that’s all I’ll say for now.
