OFFICIAL TOURNAMENT NOTES

1. Remember to read the Rules.
2. Remember rule #1, this is my tournament and I’m in charge, what I say goes.  (Think benevolent dictatorship :) )
3. Remember rule #2, this tournament is about having fun, so DO THAT, points will be given out to players who treat other players with RESPECT, and enjoy a game of fair play,  The concept you should observe is that you want to play your opponent at THEIR best, so give them some room when they make errors, so long as it doesn’t change to outcome of dice (Any dice) at your discretion.
4. Remember to use common sense, YES, you should try to post WHEN you can, and if you don’t post (atleast a note) for more than a week, I reserve the right to cut you loose, and so do your TEAM MATES.
5. Remember to expect ANYTHING, after all, this is the Tournament of EXTRA DEATH AND PAIN
6.  For your Thread titles use the following

XPAD-01  Team Name (AXIS) vs Team Name, when you make it to round 2 and so on,  XPAD-02 Team Name (AXIS) vs Team Name,

If team names are too long, shorten them accordingly.

IF YOU LOSE A GAME - you are now in the LAST STAND BRACKET, use XPAD-ls-01

7. Make sure you have read tournament rule #7, And then make sure you have read it again.

You may begin whenever you are ready, but May 18th, is the official start.  Feel free to do any last minute team changes you see/feel are necessary.

If you are one of the few who it’s not working for, and are getting some kind of stupid error…

UNINSTALL TRIPLEA,  download it again - and install it, and you should be fine.  (The link to redownload it, can be found at the link I posted above)

I tried reinstalling tripleA a couple times and it didn’t upgrade from version 2.7 to 2.8.  However, I was able to do it another way.  Click the “download maps…” button that you see when you first open TripleA (third button up from the bottom on the right) and then choose “World War II Global” from the list and it will give you the version 2.8.

When do we begin?

I am on vacation starting friday, and lasting til next sunday.  (18th - 27th)

And I probably won’t have internet access during that time.

You should make a “planned absences thread”

And also a rule about how often people have to post turns during a week.  Otherwise people could go absent when losing.  Failure to play enough during a week, means auto-losing.  (I’m only mentioning this because it has happened in every single one of the 4+ tournaments previously organized for aa50 and nwo, on triplea)
