Yep, you’d play GI_Joe in Revised.  We will probably start sometime in the fall, maybe sometime in Oct. I’m waiting a little bit so we can get a little further along in the current tourneys and give players a chance to focus on league games (if needed) as the season comes to an end.

Since we’re going to play alpha 2, and that version is not definitive (or even ‘updated’), I’m not going to play G40 in this case (I retire from G40 contest). A pity, but it’s a matter of principles

You should start at 11am on November 11th, 2011. Armistice Day ended WWI, so that is a good point to start WWII World Cup I.  :-D

this will be no suprise to anyone, but i’m a little confused about this whole tourney.  you can move me around to play any game or anyone. i’m fine with it. i just dont have G40 yet.  whoever plays me just let me know i’m ready, are you?  :mrgreen:

Lets gear up to start all the preliminary matches on Nov. 15.

I’ll look stuff over and maybe post some final comments next week before we get started, but for now we can shoot for Nov. 15.

In terms of priorites:

1 - Current AA50-41 and G40 tourney games
2 - League playoffs
3 - WC pre lims

I know many of you might have multiple games going and we still have plenty of time to get this done, since I want to do the heart of it in 2012 anyway, so I don’t want you to fall behind in current tournament games if you have them going so do moves in those games first.

I don’t really play G40.  What’s the standard at the moment and generally accepted as the most playable (with bids of course)?

i think it shold be like the other G40 tourney, where its Alpha 2, then if both players want 3 then you can play with alpha 3

Well, I am playing a game straight up with alpha 3 and I am the Axis and holding my own. Personally, I like alpha 3 better, but to be fair, I have only played 4 or 5 with alpha 2 and only 1 with alpha 3. If there is a vote, I would go with alpha 3 since that is the final version…as well as not realigning my thinking…not that my thinking is deep or helpful at all!!!  :-D

I’m not a fan of A3, and after I finish my current A3 will not be playing it again. If we opt for A3 just remove me from the line up. Sorry.
