    @Lost

Welcome - we encourage you to sign up and join this Axis & Allies site.

You’ll definitely find tons of inspiration here.

Start with the House Rules section - and look for the Axis & Allies Global 1940 House Rules Expansion.

For your inspiration we have attached a few pictures from one of the Axis & Allies games.

Thank you for the suggestion! I should also specify that I’m looking to play online via triplea, as I’ve had tons of fun with the maps and modes on there.

    @Lost

The expansion The Captain was talking about is one of the best and most engaging A&A games out here. It takes OOB G40 to a whole new level, with massive amounts of strategic options, an excellent play balance, and tons of fun! One year ago, we had a new player who was bold enough to give it a try, Panzerstahl-helm - and he liked it so much that he can’t play anything else now! We now have a small game group consisting of me, barnee and Panzerstahl-helm, and we would love to have a new player join us.

You can download the rulebook from the main A&A Global 1940 House Rule Expansion thread, which is here: https://www.axisandallies.org/forums/topic/36945/axis-allies-global-1940-house-rules-expansion?_=1629807308428

It might look overwhelming at first, but trust me - you will become familiar with the rules fairly quickly, and you’ll not regret it! Tons of fun guaranteed!

The expansion is also available to play with TripleA. It needs some use of the Edit Mode and has some Player Enforced rules, but once you are used to it, it becomes second nature. We three are all playing each other on the forums using the TripleA module and we are digging it!

Just send one of us a message if you are interested and have any questions. We are happy to help :)

Looking for an email or forum game of Big World 1942. I have never tried that game before and it looks cool.

  • @VictoryFirst v3 or revised rules? i’m more familiar with v3.

  • 2025

@Stucifer v3 sounds great, I am also more familiar with v3 (I’ve never played revised).

  • @VictoryFirst rolling a die, Odds I go Axis, I am not familiar with Big World either so thought we’d skip any sort of bid process :)

Got a 6. https://www.axisandallies.org/forums/post/1716353 Allies it is! I’ll start a thread in Play Boardgames

  • I’m looking for a game. Play 2 games in a row; playing on both sides. G40 w/ a 30 bid or BM3 straight up.

  • @Ichabod1862 I’d like to play G40 as the Axis with Allies + 30.

  • @VictoryFirst
Axis is my favorite side. You are agreeing to play 2 games with me right?

  • @ Anyone

Hi quite new here. Played the tutorial and 1 online game (lost of course :) ).

Looking for someone who can introduce me to a game by either mail or forum - never done the latter ;).

‘Global’ might be a bridge to far for me for now(??), but the 3 games I played were ‘WW2 Revised’.

    ;)

  • @LionelR

    Hi Lionel,

We have played A&A Revised since 2004.

Then we went to play A&A Global 1940 in 2010.

We suggest that you begin to study the Global 1940 rules since this A&A version is the most widely used.
And you will be able to find opponents more easily…

The basic game mechanisms in Revised and Global 1940 are the same.

There are a few changes here and there and a few more Nations, but the big picture is the same.

The game board (map) is the most significant difference - and it brings Axis & Allies to the next level.

Once you have studied and have become familiar with the Global 1940 rules - a new line of Axis & Allies Expansions are available to you.
And you’ll never run out of skillfull opponents from then on…

  • @The-Captain

    Hi,

    Thanks for your kind reply.

I’m actually playing a WWII revised solo and am easily beating the ‘Easy AI’.

I’ll start studying the ‘Global’ rules and meanwhile play a few more solo games in ‘Revised’ with ‘Fast & Hard AI’ versions, so I also get really acquainted with the Interface.

Then I’ll come back to here.

I just thougth that doing one by mail or by forum at the same time would give me some more time to think about my different moves.

I gladly follow your advice, but it might take a little more time before I’m ready to go for the ‘Global 40’.

  • Hi guys. Sorry, but at this time I do not have the time to focus on a game. I hope you find someone to play with.
