Thank you for the game! I honestly nearly missed that opportunity, as I was not expecting it. Then, suddenly, I thought: For the heck of it, check what the battle calculator says for Moscow… Usually I would have waited another two rounds or so to increase the win percentage. But I wanted to avoid a longer war with two fronts. I think I would not have defended Volgograd as strongly and put more effort into the defense of Moscow. I understand that you wanted to keep Germany from getting these tasty bonus points for Volgograd and Caucasus.
You successfully made me do what I blamed you for in our first game - I had to invest into Navy with Germany, LOL.
I advise you to take more time for your turns and to do more test runs locally. And try to avoid hopeless desparation battles as you did in the Pacific in SZ33, when your chance for winning was close to zero with less than 5%. The Allies are in the comfortable position that mistakes are forgiven and they can tike higher chances, but there should at least be some chance.

Yeah, I must have missed something in my test runs with Russia. Initially I hadn’t planned on holding Stalingrad, but I ran a bunch of tests to see if it was possible. When some of the test turns turned up it was possible I changed my mind. Obviously, I didn’t do something correctly on the live turn.
I wasn’t trying to win those battles in the Pacific just get those ships and planes off the board as I saw the trade worthwhile. Taking planes and possibly ships would have changed what I had to invest with Britain in future turns to contain Japan.
I didn’t execute Europe at all well. I tried to do everything slowly instead of choosing a point of attack when I needed to. I don’t have too much experience with that version of the game and didn’t recognize that I didn’t have the time to methodically build up more forces.
