@VictoryFirst I 've got something going on with my pc. I updated to windows 11 yesterday and now I can’t download any game files…well, I can download them but they won’t open. Give me some time to figure it out…

Hmm, try booting up TripleA, then click on “Open Saved Game” and then try to open R1? Or did you do that already?

@VictoryFirst I can’t save the files because they won’t open. I can open Triple A and open the saved games that are there…just can’t open any new game files. Not sure if the problem is with the Windows 11 install or the Triple a install.

So you can download them but they don’t show up in your downloads folder? Maybe after the windows update the downloaded files are stored in a different folder.

@VictoryFirst they show up in the download folder…just can’t open them. When I click “open” it goes to the Triple A logo like it does usually but the logo just stays there with the blue circle spinning

I am actually having that issue as well. I used to open the save file directly with TripleA, but because at some point I was playing against people who played on different versions, I started opening TripleA first and then manually loading the save file, so that I could play on the correct version for each game.
I just tried my old way of doing it and I have the same problem as you, it just shows the triplea logo.
I think I know how to solve the problem. I am going to delete my second installed version of Triplea (the 2.5 one) and try to directly open the file with triplea.

@VictoryFirst I was able to cut the file from downloads and paste it into saved games. So I can open it now and will be able to continue.

Is there anything special with damaged BBs? I would damage BBs first, then DD, CV, and lastly kill the BBs, but if there is a special rule I am missing then let me know.

@VictoryFirst it’s probably best to keep the dd until all attacking subs are gone. This is a tricky battle for Japan…they have to send enough to take out those ships, but not too much or they’ll get wiped out by a counter.

Hmm, that’s true. Let’s damage the BBs first, then kill the Cruiser and battleships until all subs are gone and then kill the DD.

That was a pretty good round for Hisaichi. I tend to be more aggressive on R1 with them because I want to get their income up early in the game, and I almost doubled their starting income.UK, Anzac and Dutch are now up. Japan’s objective for the next couple of rounds will the Dutch capital in the Pac and Malaya. Doesn’t always work out that way…but that’s what they always target…good luck!

Thanks. Do you have any advice for the British as well? Looks like I have enough ICs, so I don’t need to build any extra ones, and it looks like Africa needs the most reinforcements. Do I need to watch out for a Sea Lion, or is that almost impossible in this game? What should I be doing with all these fighters in Europe? What neutrals are best to attack? Any common turn 1 moves?

@VictoryFirst good for the UK to have an IC in Italian east africa. I usually try to take the IC in W Iran on R1to help reinforce Africa. UK needs to build enough navy to keep Italy in check and also build enough ground units to protect Cairo.
Sea Lion is always a possibility… but it’s only really viable after Moscow is taken. It’s very common for Germany to use the money they get for Moscow to conduct a major offensive against England.
