World War Two plastic models

Do any of you build plastic war models? I’m picking up the hobby.

I’m trying to get my paint knowledge better. I painted an Oscar (Ki-43 Japanese Army Fighter) that ended up looking like a FW-190. I was disappointed.

I have never had the skill; did many as a child (loved it) and don’t have the vision for it now too.
I used to collect D&D miniatures too, but I paid for someone else to paint them !

We used to hang them up and take a hot pin to poke bullet holes in em too lol
