Panzerstahl-Helm vs barnee Game 3

    @Panzerstahl-Helm

    Just a reminder, Waffen Units can’t be naval transported. Player Enforced. I just checked if i could change it, but then they can’t use Air Trprt. Land Trprt (Rail) works. That’s why the Waffen Hvy works as it should.

    Seems it’d be an easy enough feature to add. Idk enough about the code though. Basically almost nothing lol

    Anyway, Air and Rail only for the SS, execpt the Hvy is Rail only. In case you wanted to change the S FRA SS Pnzrgrndr rail move.

    @Panzerstahl-Helm

    Ahh noticed you sent a Waffen Inf to GIB battle. That’s ok as you didn’t know the rule and triplea doesn’t enforce it. This only your 3rd game and as you know, it’s quite complex. In a good way of course :)

    Itll be 3 years for me in April and i still forget stuff :) The Captain and Company have to refer to the rules themselves at times. :)

    Anyway, how about we off the Waffen and replace with a Wehrmacht Inf ? Sound good ?

  • Howdy,

    I found the info regarding the transportation capacity of transports.

    Things I did in EDIT:
    I switched the Waffe-SS-boys against a regular inf. Seems to be fair.
    I also replaced the Elite in the Desert Army against the inf, which fought in Trans-Jordan. As a result I replaced the artillery as casuality instead of this very Elite, hence the Elite is now protecting Trans-Jorda against the Allied aggression! :-)
    And last but not least I switched the SS-Panzergrandier in Southern France against a regular inf from Normandie, since Waffen-SS boys get sea sick and can´t be transported via sea.
    I used to know this from our first game, where I transported a Waffen-SS inf to Norway, but I forgot it…I barely can remember things from 12.00am til noon. hehehe!
    Although I donßt understand the lgic behind this, why Waffen units vcan´t be transported via sea.
    And last thing is regarding Army groups. As I understand the rules, they can only be formed (in any way) during NCM and Placement phase, but it seems that you can use single units and/or armies out of this AG to move in the combat move phase also. Is that correct? If so, the rules should be clarified with the additional sentence like: “An existing AG from the beginning of this round can be unformed during Combat Phase and single unitsand/or armies within this AG can move separatly.”

    I am not converned about this current game, the eastern front was too growded anyway, but for understanding. This is why I haven´t formed an army in Eastern Poland yet, to keep the options open to move single units.

    Tmy Japan turn is still cooking. The Russians become a pain in the arm for the Nippons. :-)

  • @Panzerstahl-Helm yes you have it correct. You can move out of an AG during CM and then reform it in NCM or place depending where it’s located. I will clarify that in Game Notes. You can also form an AG at the beginning of CM. Well Technically it’d be after Place which there are two phases of so either one.

    The Captain said the reason Waffen aren’t Sea transportable is because historically they never were and it also represents them having more equipment than regular forces which is part of the reason they have the higher combat factors.

    Also, going back to AGs, if there not in danger of being attacked and you don’t have enough surplus units to form one and continue other offensive operations, it’s probably no big deal they aren’t formed. Probably makes it a little easier than having to reform all the time.

    @Panzerstahl-Helm looking at this some more. Is that why you didn’t take Belarus ? You didn’t think AG 1 could move 2 as 2 of there dudes could only move 1 ? Which is correct. But not knowing it could disband is pretty impactful.

    Idk we can do a SSR reset if you want. Just redo a Belarus battle for G. You obviously had the strength. I wouldn’t have been able to kill AG Center otherwise.

  • …this was indeed the reason I didn´t take Belarus. I was thinking about it, but since I am vry short on infantry on the front, I decided not too.

    I am currently going through my J11 and alo take a glance on my G12.

  • 2023 '22 '21 '20 '19 '18

    @Panzerstahl-Helm I mean you’re a more than competent player. I doubt you would have left Belarus open if you understood the rule completely. i don’t want you to be bummed after investing this much time over a rule misunderstanding.

    It’s ok by me if you wanna a russian redo

  • 2023 '22 '21 '20 '19 '18

    @Panzerstahl-Helm well I think we should just do a reset for R 11 then. I’m not quite sure how to set it up so it’ll work on the pbem part though. It seems as if it won’t work unless it’s a save from the thread.

    Should be able to just add our emails in and start a new one from there. Let me try and set it up. I can save from History start of R 11 and we can just hand roll your Belarus attack.

    Then I’ll see if we can start a new pbem from there.

  • @barnee

    That´s very kind and fair move from you. I appreciate!
    How about if we just roll out the battle for Belarus and you re-do your Russian turn?
    Taking Belarus will prevent 6 Guard inf + 10 tanks + 1 Tank General + 2 commisars to attack AG Center. (instead of the limited movement due to being part in an AG)

    I would have taken 2 inf + 1 tact. bomber + 1 ME 262 ) both coming in from Eastern Poland.

    BR

  • I mean 3 inf antry. I just saw it is an Elite in Bealrus.

  • nevermind! you switched it in NCM against a regular infantry.
    so back to 2 inf + the fighters.

  • oh boy! …just noticed I looked at your Russian turn. I had to look at my German turn, and while my German turn it was the Elite in Belarus, which I should have attacked.

    so back to 3 inf + figters vs. 1 Elite

  • @Panzerstahl-Helm ok I got it to work. Here is start of R 11

    EXP Game 3 Stahl R 11 Redo.tsvg

    See if it’ll load in pem and then just handroll Belarus :)

    hee hee

    I’ll roll it in dicebot now :)

    @Panzerstahl-Helm

    3 Inf [dice 3d6<=1]
    1 Ftr [dice 1d6<=3]
    1 262 [dice 1d6<=4]

    1 Elite [dice 2d6<=2]

    @Panzerstahl-Helm

    1 Inf and the Elite get slayed. I’ll edit that and post a save, then start on R 11 :)

  • 2023 '22 '21 '20 '19 '18

  • @barnee

    Hold a sec.
    With the AG now able to splitt up in CM I need to look out for an attack on Eastern Poland.
    Lez me get through that realy quick

  • ok. go ahead. Eastern Poland should be save. I roughly get 3% winning chance for the Russians.
    In case you decide to attack, please create AG South with 1st + 2nd Waffen plus 4 inf + 4 art + 2 tanks

    Thanks
