@SuperbattleshipYamato Yeah I get you 100%. Alternate History is a niche interest in the first place so finding other people willing to go down the rabbit hole is always tough.
Anzio and the K5E guns

The Germans had two large K5E guns at Anzio, named Robert and Leopold. These guns had great results with the limited shells and Diglycol (powder) that was on hand.
Had the Germans had more of these large guns at Anzio would the Allies have given up on the operation and withdrawn?

I doubt it. The Allies didn’t know when to admit failure and would have found a way around jt , I suspect. The resources were there: naval and Air, especially. -
Anzio isn’t my area of expertise. That being said considering the sheer hell it was it could’ve easily been a disaster. Not sure if a few more big guns would’ve sufficed though.

@witt The two guns had a huge impact on the campaign, knocking out ammo and fuel dumps. The crews of these guns also scored hits of several ships. This resulted in the Allies unloading supplies ten miles out at sea.

Another cool idea would be if Germany built Lindermann (the massive battery) there. See what it can do when put in the fight it was designed for.
