Sorry for delay, work is more intense right now and pretty much against my wishes my weekend is pretty full, but maybe I’ll squeak it in somewhere. I haven’t played anyone this week either, so not just avoiding this game, although I probably should be :dancers:

Maybe it will be time to quit when I look at Russia, maybe not. I’m pretty sure that Ukraine battle was the game - I realize most players wouldn’t see it that way but I do

You mean in addition to everything else then? If things move along in the same manner, the Ukrainian battle will definitely help speed things up. I agree there.

Hard times in some other places, thanks for the acknowledgement, but Ukraine was the dagger. I knew the Russian front was my best chance, now I can’t even show my stuff :D

Still tough sledding. Good thing I took 3 infantry into Stalingrad to kill one mech. Ouch.

I apologize for being slow. I don’t want it to be that someone either gets beat by me, or it takes forever to win.
But at least I didn’t quit prematurely - you should enjoy the benefits of all that solid play. You don’t leave much room for error. Or poor luck. In other words I admire your play!

I think the conventional obvious move ended up being the best here.

Yup, can’t say right away and it was probably foolish anyway - I’m so used to Egypt being the last city.
