@robson. Sorry for the delay. Finally had a moment to think about this move. Decided on a “hope and pray” method for this round for the UK! The new UKP makes for some different start options. Feel that you have to be a bit more risky than I typically would be for the UK.
-
@kilroynothere no need to be worried :-) please maximum scramble for your attack
-
@robson Who’s turn is it?
-
@young-grasshopper I am waiting for the UK Turn from @kilroynothere after sending my scramble orders
-
@robson Yes, it’s my turn to roll some dice and I haven’t even found time for that in the last couple of days… but, I know I will tonight! So, hopefully when you awake in the morning, Robson you will see how the carnage unfolded.
@Young-Grasshopper the UK1 move is VERY different than traditional G40… I felt compelled to be more aggressive than I typically would be. Not sure if you have found that out to be the case or if I’m seeing more than is there. Not having the UKP tt available for some Africa action is changing up my typical opening. Which of course is fun!

@robson Well, got completely slottered. Nothing I can do about that but concede. you can now easily take UK, Egypt, etc. So… fast and easy win! Want to try again?
-
@kilroynothere Yes of course I would like to try it again. Would you like to switch sides or do you wanna play the Allies again?
-
@robson Thanks for understanding. Looking at the rules, don’t see how in this tournament version you come back from the UK loss. Also tells me maybe my thought on being aggressive is actually not the right solution because of the victory token rule set. I’d like to try again as the allies and this time hopefully understand the rules better (!!!) and the dice gods are a bit more on my side! ;-)
-
@kilroynothere Absolutely fine for me. I will create a new thread for us.
-
@robson Thank you! Also, want to learn a bit more because my face to face group plans on playing on the 20th with @Young-Grasshopper Tournament rules. We have always struggled to get a game finished and I’m convinced that Grasshopper has cracked the code on that! So, very excited to try it face to face.
-
@kilroynothere Sounds great! Will take a bit more time for me to get back to ftf games but I am totally excited about it.
-
@robson Understand that! We all wear masks and play in an open garage with fans so we get even more ventilation. Not ideal of course, but lowers the risk for us all. Not sure how Germany is going, but we now have almost 10% of the population immunized. It is starting to make a difference it seems.
