Hi all, I bought classic A&A when it was new. Never won with Allies until the internet came along and I learned about dead zones, infantry push, and “shuck-shuck” from good ol’ Don.

Now I own 1942 2ed, still trying to win with Allies vs my grown son. It’s harder to shuck from Canada, and now there’s a German fleet as well. Is it better just to send bombers, and fighters via Iceland? I also write haiku:

the great blue heron
wings by my garden window
all my goldfish gone.

To be as brief as I can, what you need to do is decide if you are going to kill Germany first or kill Japan first. and then hammer that side of the board. Okay, okay, no more haiku (here).

“As fast as I can” killing Germany first:

1. If I still have my transports, build a transport shuttle from Eastern Canada;

2. If they’re sunk, just send bombers and fighters.

That’s my instinct, with very little experience and no math to make me think I’m right. What do experience and math suggest?

Forget Canada!

UK1- provided its KGF, then 2 DD and 1 CV build ( after clearing German subs and they don’t build more)

USA1- buy 1 CV, rest AP’s and land units ( at least 2 tanks) shuck first to Afrika ( drop the 2 tanks in Morocco).
Buy 1 bomber about every other turn

Ive seen it tried many times against me, but its a side show. you need a combination of events. You need to make a thousand cuts against an enemy and it will die quickly. Keep hitting France, Karelia, Italy, Benulux, Norway and you will win
