if I left a single US inf in Tunisia, would you leave it alone or attack with the italians? My guess is you would attack it, so trading one ipc for US for an inf seems like a bad trade. Especially since I dont have a supply line of US troops headed to North Africa. This way I get the 5 ipc bonus and dont risk any US troops which I value a lot more than Tunisia for a single turn.
If I clear the italians then I lose a single IPC per turn but I wouldnt expect to be able to move my meager fleet to z96 and I doubt I want to move all my UK/US troops out of range of my fleet in z92.

Ok, but US and UK could have held Tunisia against an Italian assault. I guess you just didn’t like that idea. Perhaps because the troops couldn’t reach Normandy? Only thing I can think of.

It would have at least killed a few units on the way to the bottom of the Med so maybe that was the reason.

No way I was ever going to clear italians out of Libya and didnt have the units to defend Tunisia. I am sure I will be back.
cant do everything. I didnt have a good shot at the fleet. Much rather have Normandy than kill an italian fleet that cant do anything but sail around the med (for now).
