Subs

Can subs only be hit by Destroyers and planes in battle? Or can every unit hit the sub after the Surprise Strike if they do not decide to submerge?

In a sea battle every unit capable of firing can hit subs but air units can only hit subs, if a destroyer friendly to the air units is present in that sea battle, too.
Remember that the decision to submerge is made before any dice are rolled. However subs can’t submerge if an enemy destroyer is present.

@chernobylime Good morning. Once the Sub has had its SUrprise Attack, all surviving enemy naval units can fire back. Air unite can only fire back, if a friendly DD is present.
