    2 scenarios: spring 1941 and spring 1942
    new units for china!!

  • Looks like Funagain games has a new rival for getting the news out.

  • Ha! Even worst I thought:

    USA price: 78 $
EU price: 82 euros (much more  :-P )

Pretty funny  :x. At least the rest is pretty good. China is not an independant power but at least get her own models and plays as in Pacific. Saving the crap of prices, good deal. I’ll still buy it… maybe I’ll get lucky and spanish importers put a better price than german ones… oh, I’m dreaming  :-D

  • Latest news, Larry have confirmed the Italians will be brown.

  • Brown?!!? And why? Italians army wore light grey during WWII. Also naval units initially were painted in light grey.

    Brown!??! Bah!

  • They had in fact brown shirts

  • Italian soldiers did not have a shirt…

    Just kidding!

I know that there were Black Shirts units. Brown Shirts were German Units.

  • They had green shirts with an embossed spaghetti and meatball platter on each arm sleeve. Generals had pizza logo on front with highest ranked having sausage.

Tanks and planes had 3 bread sticks on the wings marking the old fascist symbol for justice.

In fact Il Duce often had a meatball glued to his cap used to motivate the troops.

  • If you only knew the power of the “Parmigiana di Melanzane”…

new info actually on the AH site. wow!

  • I find it intersting it’s still for 2 to 5 players even though Italy is a new Axis nation.
Perhaps that’s just a typo on the web page

  • Yea AH is known for not marketing, not putting enough pieces to get the starting set up, and not proofreading their own reports what else is new?

I am just wondering the odds of another free unit exchange because they gave Germany the P-38’s or something else stupid.

I can only say the same things a million times to them, and they still don’t get it.

If it was up to me Id pay you to play them heads up AA game… for their JOBS. Just you against the entire company -winner takes all. You win and you get to fire them all, they win and they get to avoid getting black balled for gross incompetence.

oh well i got 4 prepaid for pre-order and another on Oct 23 ill pick up from local store.

  • I wonder if that is a photo of the actual box? If it is as wide and shallow as it looks it could be a single fold board which would be awesome.

Yeah, and I found another typo… The title text said “Spring 1942…”, but on the picture the box said “Spring 1941…”. I hope these are the unique mistakes of this version! ;)

  • He, China get some attention also  :-). It’s for 6 players, sure, and maybe with a small patch a 7th player can join as China (believe or not, sometimes is needed, I remember a day when we were 8 for playing a game for 5 … we had to play 2 guys for each country  :-D )

Anyway, the more interesting thing is the cruiser stuff. I know it was in Guadalcanal game, but still I wonder how it will be. I hope not a 3/3 for 10 ipcs, it would be too powerful…

It looks as though you can choose between two starting points for the game: Spring 1941 or Spring 1942!  Awesome!

  • I guess the two starting periods would be to serve as a handicap for the weeker team for what ever side they played on.

I am guessing it would be used to eliminate the bid system.

Do you think it might be just to give you two games in one? I imagine the starting points will create very different ‘feels.’

  • I agree with frimmel. And I wish they would include also a summer, 1940 scenario, when UK and China resisted alone against the three axis powers. A pity, maybe next time  :-)
