I had to make the hole in the washer a little bigger using a 9/32” twist drill bit. A pair of pliers helped coax the inflating needle into the washer… no glue required!
Flag stands for capitals

prototype turned out good. Hope to have these on the website soon. With and Without Decals

Nice idea to use flags to represent the different victory cities. When a city is captures you can simply swap the flag stand for one with the current owners flag.

Good concept and nice execution. Well done.

I thought the french flag was supposed to be white? :?

No yellow! My favorite joke in our group is; How many divisions does it take to defend Paris? Nobody knows? It’s never been tried! Great job on the flag stands! Been waiting for more eye candy. Keep up the great work!

Thanks guys for the kind words and support

I’ve been toying with the idea of making the VCs noticeable and then I stumbled on this post. Thank you for showing me my way forward. Im making tooth pick flags with photo copied roundels for flags. Not as fancy as yours but the prototype is cool

I’m on a budget so im sticking with the toothpick flags for now. If/when i get a little extra cash, i know where to go. For future reference, do you recommend decals or stickers and what size? Thank you for making this available to us.

I’m using Sticker Backed Photo Paper. One reason I started creating Decals for my website was that I couldn’t find certain Decals (USSR Flag for instance) in the sizes I needed for Axis & Allies. Or the Union Jack and Italian Flags with the Shield in the Center. For London as you can see I added the Roundal. Union Jack Flag will be for FEC in India. These Flag Poles I painted for a Friend.

I trying something similar with semi gloss photo paper as well. It prints nicely.
@R DiStefano: you have the German flag wrong. The Swastika should be close to the flag pole instead of close to the other side.

Actually, shouldn’t the swastika disc be in the middle of the flag rather than off-center? If so, the which-side-of-the-flagpole issue solves itself.

lets just say my trimming skills were not the best on the German Flag. The sticker needed to be trimmed and that’s why is not a perfect as one would like it.

Depends on what flag you want. The flag from Hitler’s Nazi party is centered, but they used an off centered one (closer to the pole) as the flag for the German Reich itself. As such I would opt for the off center one.
