@Imperious:
I have this game. COD2 was much better. I prefer the bunny hop thing that they took away since the last COD.
I really like Left for Dead which is the best game for 2008 IMO>
Yeah, because it was imperative to hop around like a dumbass in WW2. :roll:
The multiplayer in this game is quite a few steps above, though. What are you playing it on?
Left 4 Dead looks great, but I haven’t gotten it yet or played it. Just seen demos.
@frimmel:
I picked up the PS3 because I hated the Xbox controller, I wanted Blu-ray and backwards compatable. The other thing was it seemed the games everyone was really raving about on the Xbox were things I didn’t really want to play.
I sometimes get queasy as well. Particularly when having to navigate in very close confines, like going down a stairwell.
I downloaded some demos Bioshock, Brothers in Arms, Mirror’s Edge and Dead Space and I just can’t seem to get my ‘head’ around them. I can’t seem to keep the picture of the world and my character’s position in it ‘correct.’
Maybe it is just being not used to it. :|
I might be giving that stuff another look though as the new Tomb Raider: Underworld is a disaster to me. The camera and control are a mess.
Might be giving that Clancy game Endwar a shot afterall as well.
Thankfully, they made the Xbox controller smaller. It’s still bigger than the PS3 controller for sure, but it seems to me that they are about the same. The trigger buttons on the Xbox controller are better for FPS games, I think. You really won out with the Blu-ray player, but I don’t think DVD is a done deal by a long shot. And Xbox has backwards compatibility, including rereleases of games that you can download off of live. Mega Man 9 was an exclusive for Xbox, I think.
All those games you listed are also on the Xbox, but I know that would change how you feel about them. I find being close to the screen and a good sound system helps you to lose yourself in the game.
Honestly, I’ve never liked the Tomb Raider series for the exact reasons you list which were around with the very first game.
Endwar looks great and I’ve never been disappointed by a Tom Clancy game.
