Yes, you can move them around, but you have to wait until your next turn to do it.
Where's the PR?
-
I know Avalon Hill and Wizards are notoriously bad for promoting the Axis & Allies products but we have 2 weeks and still nothing.
They even told me straight up that there would not be sending me a review copy of the game. Basically, they didn’t even want somebody else to promote their product for them.

PR ??
wipes eyes
Wow, that was funny.
Wait….
You were seriously expecting them to promote this???
-
exactly!
A $100 game never before has AH or WOTC even attempted to sell any one product for that much money.
Then to support it they don’t even want to say a word. What kind of marketing is this?
At Gen Con a group of WOTC chimps yanked the game away before it could be played a second time.
Should i just release my map file for it early? I was gonna hold out for 30 days out of respect, but i think perhaps we can show them we can get the information no matter what they do.
-
Post the map.
-
Yes, IL, release the map.

ok here you go. View it at 100% to get the full effect.
This is phase one map of 3
additional maps have convoy zones and some minor tweeks on aesthetics.
-
I even saw a RISK television ad the other nite and that was not the 1st I’ve seen of that promotion.
-
WOW! Great map! Thanks IL! Did you make this yourself from available information?
-
yes sir. I am making 2 more with increasing modifications as per my evolving house rules thread.
already made cards for tech and tokens
I have a score sheet that will be posted.
-
The map was beautiful designed… 8-) much better than Bluestroke’s :-P
I initially thought you had access to the setup information,
but do you know for sure that the ipc values are exactly like the real AA50 map? -
yes these are accurate.
-
Great map as always IL, but I hate those national tokens that clutter up the aestethics of the map, and since your territories are colour codet anyway, you dont need that national tokens too, it will be like have fat on butter.
-
The tokens are exactly the size as the national tokens. So you just cover up the roundel with your token when territory changes control.
this map is 72x36 , OOB is 46x24 now you have room to see the map and enjoy.
-
IL - I love your map! One thing that puts me slightly off the AA50 map is the color - your map has nice color and I rerally like the background work, very cool.
Do you plan on doing a 1939 version? It’s the one thing that I crave the most out of all the AA varients.
-
its the phase 1 map of three, 2 more maps coming up which will include a whole new AA50HE treatment with convoy zones, alternative france, plus new islands, Sicily will have 1 IPC, Malta, Azores, and others. Australia should be cut in 2, plus add an impassible zone for its desert.
-
IL, the island labeled Corsica is really Sardegna, while Corsica is the island north of Sardegna.
Anyway, great map! Very well done!
-
yes i decided to name just one of them. I know sardinia is the southern and corsica is north, but i just called it one name. I have a more final version of the map to post anyway. I will add both names. Phase 2 will have even more.
thanks BTW. I serve our empire.
-
Ok IL. As I said the map is really good!
Really I prefer it in the way you coloured it more than the coloration of the real map!
-
yes its just in interpretation of that map. Things i didn’t like got tossed. I like national colors but made them a bit subdued.
