Interesting to see how the German/Axis deployment in the southern sector looks sparse, at first glance. Maybe key to why Army Group South struggled more than the other two did in the early stages? That and the Soviet commander of the Southwest Front (Kirponos) being more competent than the other four?

Looks great!
What do you print your map out on? Is it cloth or is it on some kind of gameboard cardboard? Is there anyway i could send you a file to print for me?
-
I took this to the printers and it cost me $216.00 Its printed on plastic tiles ( I call it the tile system) Its not paper at all, its vinyl thats glued to another plastic sheet. Nothing can damage it except fire and malicious use.
I use AAAflagbanner.com for printing. you can forward the file to them and they will mail it to you. Give them a call.
-
do they take exact care at the edges to make sure things don’t get cut-off yet at the same time have full page borderless?
cos, its a pain regarding that with consumer printers
if a shop don’t even do precision printing I would just save my money and print on A4 with consumer printer (cheap / expendable)
-
This does not happen. The cut is sharp. I did have this happen once however, but i don’t use these printers anymore.
-
www.AAAflagbanner.com doesn’t work. are you sure this is the exact webpage address?

-
what are the dimintions of the tiles? How heavy and thick are they? Do you know if there is a good way to print A&A maps out on some sort of vinyl or cloth which will lay flat on a table without bunching up? Also do you know of anyone who could print the map out on a traditional folding game board? (probably three separate folding game boards for a map this side)
-
I don’t know the size. I just tell the guy to cut it in 6 pieces. Its 1/4 inch thick plastic. Take the original map and double the width ( but add 1 foot) and double height and figure out what 6 pieces would be.
-
Wow, that map looks incredible. Is this a map that you came up with for your own games? Or were you inspired from another source? It definitely would make for a lenghty game, but full of so many more possibilities.
-
No its based on an interpretation of Revised in a historical setting. Its also a combination of AAE/AAP and a version of what to expect from the Axis and Allies Delux project that will be released in a few years.
All the AAR rules have been filtered into what was actually possible from historical/realistic standpoint. Things like defender retreats are allowed for example.
-
I like how you have all the different territories that actually played a part in WWII, giving it more realism. I am looking forward to Axis & Allies Delux already and hope it will be a big and engulfing set.

where do you get your miniatures for the additional units i see in your games? Also what scale should I buy to use along side my revised axis and allies pieces?
-
Those are old glory miniatures painted with national color bases. I am assembling a totally painted set of metals and those are some of the infantry. Armor is under review, followed by air and naval.
infantry 15 mm or HO scale or 1/87- 1/72
Armor 1/285
Air 1/700
Naval 1/2400 -
You should stay away from the GHQ-stuff then, since the tank barrels bend
-
I did once i found skytrex. I like the GHQ halftracks and destroyers, but thats it.
