I was just introduced to this game last week, and after two games I was hooked (even though I didn’t do too well…). I played the American version, but bought the European version, as I heard it was slightly more complex and a bit more cutthroat.
I highly recommend this game as it is easy to learn, easy to play, and more likely to have participants than say Axis and Allies (and is quite a bit shorter).
Are there any variants, house rules, or strategies anyone would suggest?
My brother got it for Christmas and I played it twice over the holidays. It’s a great game. Dunno about any variations though.
Apparently the NA version won game of the year in 2006 (maybe 2005).
It’s fun as hell.
@Jermofoot This game is fun, easy to learn.
Ticket to Ride is fun. Another train game game that I’ve really been enjoying lately is Switch & Signal. It is a cooperative game designed by noted and acclaimed wargame designer David Thompson.
nacro thread nevermind. Thought Jermofoot came back.
Where did Jermofoot go? He was an active member and great to chat with. I wonder where some of these people are now.
@Jermofoot Heck Yeah!!! Bringing back the old band.
