Battle Group Tampa is getting active again. At the moment we have 8 active and semi active members with some possible additions that have expressed interest.

Just bought this game by Sean Michael Inc. What a fun game!! Some of the rules needed a bit of clarifying and we made some assumptions. We also had to take a sharpie marker to some of the borders on the map to distinguish. We played about 10 of these in a row. Much more dynamic than D-Day or any of the other tactical games. We enjoyed the short setup time and ease of play. Highly recommended. If you own any A&A set you won’t need the pieces.
WOTR is not a pure wargame; it also has the role-playing element of the Fellowship carrying the ring to Ordruin.
BOTFA is a better option if you just want a stand-up fight between fantasy armies. Don’t like Gandalf’s range-finder, though. Seems completely wrong for an area movement game.
I’m surprised someone looked at this after all this time. I considered putting alot of time into creating the board and hammering out rules but the lack of interest on this forum didn’t really inspire me to continue. I also would like to see such a game created though I think Hbg is working on Global War atm.
I’ve just bought the game recently and found that it could be a great starter for potential wargamers. As frimmel said, it’s quick, fun and fairly easy to learn.
Playing this with a few friends has them at least interested in trying a game of AA41. From there, maybe 1942 or anniversary.
