Site Connection

I appreciate the help.  But I’m supposed to be able to prove this myself without the assistance of the internet.  Just by using deductive reasoning, logic and calculus.

Start with the volume equation for a simple shape (one variable) and demonstrate that the area equation is the derivative.  Demonstrate that a slightly more complex shape (two variable) is just a variation of the first proof.

I have noticed a very slow connection sometimes tonight (2 or 3 times).  The ping rate is good (34/35 ms) so I think the server is taking time to process my request.  Don’t know if anyone else has experienced this (takes over 10 seconds to load a page on a dsl lite connection).

I have had a coule of slow posts, but all were while there were a LOT of folks active on the site, mostly in the Games threads (I think the dice roller is eating up some of the bandwidth, but still better than it was before…)

And at 5:30 a.m. this site now FLIES instead of being “ahead dead slow”

I did.  It was just a long process.  I don’t write anywhere near as fast as I type.  Proved Cubes, Tetrahedrons and Cylinders and expanded from there.

I am still noticing that logging in and loading different pages on this board takes a very long time.  Nobody else?

Much improved since the server change, at least for me.

Occasional ad issue, but nothing like I experienced before.

Yeah, once I’m on the site, it seems to fly now that I think about it.  But just initially loading the boards and then logging into the boards always seems to be a real dog…

I have it set up that I am logged in forever so I don’t realy know about that part. Loading the boards hasn’t been a problem for me.

Maybe your browser cache is getting cleared too often.

was the site down all afternoon?  I couldn’t connect from work…

I was unable to log in for about 6 hours today.  I have sent a not to DJensen to inquire what happened.

Still, the new site has been more reliable than the old one…

Where did you send the message? I didn’t get it.

I’m not sure what happened. At 5am PDT the server locked up. I’m still trying too figure it out.
