I feel that a terrible opener for Germany in the Atlantic is worse than a terrible opener for Germany on the east front because this means the western allies are one or even two turns ahead of where they should be. this translates to a much larger western army or armies available to save Russia or kill Germany (Whatever looks more effective). In effect you don’t only have IPC’s that are better spent as the western allies against Germany, but you have them a lot sooner than they otherwise should be.

O11.tsvg I am normally okay with and encourage edits to align with what player intentions are/were but in this particular case, I do feel strongly that we should accept the results of the move. First, it made complete sense to do it - any hits from the UK would have destroyed AH aircraft and there was a high probability of at least one hit. Second, it is in line with your playstyle of running transports through minefields. Given the high value nature of the move and the amount of dice thrown before changing your mind, for this one, I will have to insist we stick with the result.

Okay then. I was thinking of doing it with the Italians instead. No worries. I assume you edited it yourself?
Thank you for clarifying this rather troubling (though that isn’t the right word, more like unclear) matter.
-
I do agree that if things worked out it would’ve been a logical and good attack.
-
@SuperbattleshipYamato I hadn’t done the edit yet, no. Might be a bit easier if you did - I actually didn’t look at the history to see what was where.
-
No worries.

@SuperbattleshipYamato I went ahead and did the edit. Go for Italy when you’re ready: O11 edit.tsvg

Thanks a lot. I have a question about the rules and I’m not ready to go on until @Krieghund responds:

@SuperbattleshipYamato I see it. Generally speaking, with board game rules of any game, exceptions to any rule will be stated explicitly. If no exception can be found for a certain case, then the rule stands. But with this particular game, 1914, I don’t blame you for asking (haha).
-
Agreed.

I meant, in “[add on to the above comment but as you know we can’t edit stuff]” above, “because” rather than “but”, sorry about that.

By the way a weird glitch happened (for some reason the game just pretended a battle’s casualties didn’t happen so I used edit mode to solve it, but then the battle window did appear, so when I tried to take the casualties it glitched, because not all the units were there), leaving the map looking a little funny:
