Great! First time for me playing a full game of Oztea 1939 (I’ll be Allies).
Latest FAQ and Errata for global.
-
I’m hosting my first game of A&A 1940 Global, 2nd ed, in quite a few years, and just want to check I’m up to date with errata etc. Is there a dedicated thread here I should go to? Or a place where an official file can be downloaded?
Thanks :) -
See
https://www.axisandallies.org/forums/topic/18546/global-1940-2-rules-available-for-download/17to download the latest rulebook.

@panther I have 2nd edition rule books. I don’t want to download something that is possibly identical to what I have. So there have been no changes since the 2nd ed rule books were released?
Thanks -
Of course there have been changes compared to the rulebooks shipped with the games back in 2012. Those changes have been communicated here via this forum.
And of course I posted the link to point you to the latest rulebook files of 2023 with the latest wording of the rules. Only you can know what you already have, not me!
The FAQ-sheets you mentioned had their latest (publicly available) revision on September, 3rd, 2014.

There’s no one thread in which these changes have been logged?

@panther I have to print off these new rule books and go through them comparing them line by line with my copies to work out what has changed? is that the only option?
You guys must have a thread here where every change is discussed? -
The latest discussion about rule changes was in 2016, when @Krieghund listed the changes and explained that all content of the FAQ-sheets had been included into at that time new rulebook prints. (See https://www.axisandallies.org/forums/post/461656)
Usually, when commenting on rules, I compare “my knowledge” with the most recent rulebook version. But as this game has been broadly covered, tweaked, extended etc. there aren’t many questions open in these days. So I am afraid no one took on the effort to compare whatever newer rulebook versions.
I doubt there will be any rule changes - but the wording has changed here and there and the clarifications (as already said) have been incorporated.
Maybe @Krieghund has further details for us.

It is as @panther said. The only changes in the latest round of revisions (for Renegade Games) are the inclusion of FAQ and errata material. There were no actual rules changes.
-
@krieghund what is with these "TM"s (highlighted) in your post? I take it I simply ignore them?
Thanks

Yes, ignore that, as this is related to the forum software change that occurred in 2018. Some characters haven’t been converted correctly.
