Game 2: VictoryFirst (Axis) vs barnee (Allies) - G40 House Rule Expansion by The Captain


  • Hey Barnee,

    I am currently doing the Japanese turn, and I had one suggestion - at the moment, the game gives priority to the DD when moving land units to a sea zone containing transports and destroyers. What I mean, is that it thinks every time I want to load the infantry unit on the Destroyer, rather than the transport. But 9/10 case, I want to load the unit onto the transport

    So the game does this every time when I load two units onto a transport. When I do four, I do not get any message, and it automatically loads an infantry to the DD and the other three to the transports.

    I find this a bit annoying to be honest, so that’s why I wanted to ask if it’s possible to fix this.


  • I also realized that I made a… ahem… very small mistake concerning the defense of Rome lol. Too much stuff needs to change in order to fix that, so I guess I’ll have to live with the disastrous result…


  • Also, the place in the Carolines might need to be adjusted. I cannot see that there are two planes there, because the number is hidden behind the other unit.

    @VictoryFirst just a reminder, you have to roll naval battles with BBs in edit if there’s a chance there gonna take damage. Ignore the first hit but if it has to take a second one, then it gets double tapped and sunk.

    That’s because it will quit attacking after it’s first hit. I fixed it for next version but it was an xml one, so we can’t use it in our game.

    Just noticed that there is a slight problem with the Edit-mode-on-during-combat method for para’s.

    Here, it is unclear which die is for the para, and which for the infantry. In this case it doesn’t matter since they all rolled three of higher, but in the case it does, it can be hard to determine.

    I guess we could say that in the combat dialog, the para is under the infantry, so the third die is considered to be rolled by the Para? I don’t know lol :)

    In that case, there would be no problem since they would roll on their own anyway.

    The funny thing is that in the other games I am currently playing, my opponent also has these bad dice, while mine are above average. I guess I just bring bad luck to my opponent :)
