It simplifies many things while allowing a lot of way to chose or not to repair and use a given Factory.
Less NO and more VC bonus seems to focus on the real objective of the game.

Hope you can somehow add it inside the main thread on Halifax rules, maybe as a third options, or a sub-option of the second option.

Sorry - I got quite busy and forgot about this. I suppose that by now the game has continued to a point beyond the situation we were discussing. So what happened?

Here is a pic of our last game where I took Spain and Sweden with Germany on Turn2 last weekend. I know its the opposite of what your saying but it can help the axis if done early. Besides anything is possible with dice, lol.  Italy took out Turkey and Germany took Caucasus on G3. Also got Jet power and built and AB in Spain.  I switched all of my fighters to 262’s. Wish I had a pic of that but my opponent quit before I had a chance to get a one. Â

Japan needs to take Hawaii or Sydney to get a VC win, thats all you need to do with the US in the Pacific - stop either of those from happening, spend the rest of your resources sending the US into N.Africa, and once big enough Rome.  Italy is going to have to choose between pulling back from taking Egypt or taking the chance the combine UK/US forces take Rome as early as round 5/6

We haven’t really run into the problem of Russia attacking Japan Turn 1, mostly because of what Japan starts with in Korea and Manchuria would obliterate the Inf they could use.
Japan usually attacks Russia on their first turn (at least in the group I play with), so it’s almost always Russia getting the fuzzy end of the lollypop.

I have a house rule too.

Obviously it’s only the French, aka Frogs, who can swim over the English Channel. It’s called frog suit. Obviously.

But that is not my house rule.

My house rule partly reflects the installment of the Vichy government, partly builds on French swimming technology being adapted by the Germans, partly includes primitive rocket science and partly simply because Germans are sauerkraut.

With my house rule the Germans can bounce over the English Channel. In fact, they can bounce over most of the annoying obstacles, like Gibraltar, Sahara, Himalayas and the Atlantic. They can even bounce behind enemy lines, if need be.

More or less becoming similar to flying Tribbles.

That is my house rule.

I think the game would be more balanced that way and more fun.
