That’s a better idea, especially since Japan is usually somewhat stretched to the limits on their declaration of war on the US.
Global 1943 Expansion, Revised

@superbattleshipyamato123
Yes - most likely in 7-9 weeks from now, when we edit our picture registration from our ftf games.
You might need to remind me at that time, since our A&A gaming season 2021/2022 has already begun - and we spend our time on playing A&A.
-
Thank you!
-
I’m happy to share your statement:+1:
-
This Axis & Allies Gaming Season will mostly include the Global 1943 scenario.
One of the greatest benefits is, that Global 1943 offers players an opportunity to experience the use of Armies from game start.
Within a few rounds of play, we also see German Me262 Jetfighter units on the game board - and from then on, there is only limited Strategic Bombing against German factories.
-
Try telling that to Goring, where most of the jet fighters were destroyed on the ground due to lack of fuel.
-
Also, do you have any plans to alter the 1940 game setup to include the new units from the house rules (to include existing paratroopers, elite infantry, and other units historically existing)? Thank yoU!
-
@superbattleshipyamato123
The creation of the Global 1943 House Rules Expansion was an enormous task.
It took more than 3 years to complete the setup - and was based on more than 168 Global 1940 games (combined with the Axis & Allies Global 1940 House Rules Expansion).On top of that, we had to playtest the 1943 version 32 times, before the final result proved the game to be balanced.
We don’t have any plans for a revised 1940 setup.
We are convinced that Larry Harris and his team did the best job.

Thank you for responding!
Yes, but the it’s a bit different adding in all the new units (and it would make sense to add existing Waffen-SS units and paratroopers that were around in 1940 to the board). I did not know that it took that so long to make the 1943 game! Looks like that’s not going to be a reality-I don’t have enough time to play this one anyway.
Keep up the good work!
-
I’ll get back shortly, with some information from the game we had Sunday:relaxed:
-
Is it possible to have the Global 1943 setup ready for TripleA, this year?:relaxed:
-
@the-captain yea actually you can already do it with edit. Make a saved game after you get it setup. But that’s next on the list. To make it easier with a Map Option click and go
Probably a week on the test game a day to fix/enhance. I have to reread 43, but there are no rules changes just setup and timeline correct ?
-
Great,
Yes - no rule changes. It’s all Axis & Allies Global 1940 House Rules Expansion - with the Global 1943 setup.
Winning conditions are also still the same:+1:
-
@the-captain cool yea have to Player Enforce Victory conditions for now. I guess I could throw a notification in at end of round but I hate to spam anymore than necessary .
Also I don’t think triplea can check for economic victory. hmm… well plenty to do before that : )
-
@barnee
Yea - I assume that it could be a challenge to have TripleA check for economic Victory, since most islands in the Pacific have increased values… -
@the-captain well maybe I’ll throw a notification in at end rd for France after x amount of rds. Maybe start at 6 or 8 ? whenever Victory is most likely to first happen. Can use the comment log to document it if needed
The PU totals are totaled for each side as well as each player so it’s easy to check
Although I still need to fix DNG being hardwired at 2
-
Sounds as a good idea.
Victory is most likely to happen in somewhere between Early 1945 and Late 1946.
-
Historically you have many mistakes in 1943 setup… Burma, Java, East Indies were under Japanese control.
-
I didn’t notice that until now! Thank you!
-
Hi,
I suggest that you read the “Notice to Players” at page 2 in the Axis & Allies Global 1943 House Rules Expansion.
This explains the game setup as well as its background.

@victoryfirst
Hi Victory,Have you tried to make the 1943 setup on your gameboard?
