@trulpen One point with india…as this is OOB every time he retakes it you are giving him double money…he gets the territory value for calcutta twice, and the W India income without even having it. If you retake hong kong then it will make no difference to japan.

@wizmark it is a boost for Japan but because of the convoy, it is likely down to only 3. And if he holds India securely, he gets to build there. A problem for Japan is getting enough land units on the continent, so I think the trade there is still worth it. Plus, if he can hold India safely, he probably gets to take W India on a subsequent turn and gets 2 ipcs anyway.
I think it still ends up being worth the trade.

I’m leaning towards the move to 80 if it can be done safely. The timing of threatening the Italy fleet is better on the turn after when you can potentially bring the navy from Norway down at the same time. Your odds on the Italy fleet are also pretty good now, so htat is another option. But then you probably lose that British fleet too and certainly lose the opportunity to swing it back into the Indian ocean.

Now, how does this look?
I chose to keep the mech and tank in Norway, partly for protection of UK-air landing there and partly for coming aggressions. Can be changed to Normandie though.
I prefer to keep the sb’s towards G. The SBR’s will be a real nuiscance, plus having stronger threats of attacks.
Why did I put the russian sub in z105!? Why didn’t anyone stop me!? It’s completely useless there. Would be much better in z110.

@trulpen this looks good to me. and the SBs have a lot of value in Europe too. I just sometimes regret not having one in the Pacific. I’m guessing you are moving some ANZAC air to US carriers in Car?
The tank and mech could stay in Norway too as long as Normandy can be kept safe.
I did a quick calc of Moscow if he goes for it the turn after next. Without adding any additional air to what you currently have, his odds are 65%. Presumably, 2-3 additional air remaining in reach after this turn, should reduce that to well below 50%. So that should be pretty safe.

Looking at UK now. Unfortunately z80 doesn’t look feasible. J will have slightly better odds if we build a sub there, and about even with a des. UK has low income, so investing in fleet now is rather expensive.
Another option is to secure taking Cyprus while protecting the tr, i e moving the fleet to z99. Italy does have 40 % then and a german follow-up with air. Since the italian fleet is going down anyway sometime, maybe it’s good to actually kill off some british fleet when the have the chance.
Probably it’s best to keep the fleet in z98 and sacrifice the tr, but atleast get 2 figs into the attack.
