    I’m really struggling with the Italian move since I think this could already possibly destroy the game if done wrong.

    I’m torn between different moves.

    A) Going all in for Egypt (moving even 4 units with the two transports to Alexandria), while blocking your fleet. You could still air-raid the Italian fleet and kill everything, including the transports, which would cripple Italy a lot. On the other hand you would probably lose around 2 fighters, which would help my odds on Egypt.
    Whether you air-raid or not - my odds to capture Egypt are below 50% in any case, unless of course Germany sacks the bombers first to reduce the amount of defenders.

    All in all not a very strong move.

    B) Go for the British Fleet in the Med. This is a 40% Chance of success, with an average result of -3,5 TUV. I could, however, retreat if the first dice round is bad, reducing the losses at least a little. This would reduce the amount of those pesky British fighters, that are so versatile. Germany could quite easily destroy the leftover ships with Luftwaffe and maybe, if the dice were good, even get Gibraltar.
    The transports could be used to get Greece and then be defended by fighters from South Italy.

    It would remove the British fleet and ensure the Italian bonus after round 2. I would keep the Italian transports, which I value a lot.
    On the other hand, it will give you ample time to build a factory in Persia / Cairo and fortify the Middle East.

    Overall a risky move, but I feel that Axis has to do bold moves from time to time.

    C) Play it safe and just get Greece / Yugo. maybe use the transports to get Cyprus+Crete. It will ensure the survival of the Italian fleet, but I’m gonna face the same situation next turn again, only with time running against me.

    None of these moves really satisfies me. I’m gonna need a bit more time for that turn. I’d like to hear your thoughts on that, although I realize you might not want to play against yourself here.

    Frankly, I guess it would go a bit too far in case I’d say you how to play your moves against me in a league game ;) Also, this is very tricky because it is hard to me to switch the perspective as it might be valid that you’d take higher risks against me as I would take against you.

    However, I assume you have miscalculated something.

    IT has 3% on my UK fleet, not 40%. I assume you calculated the fighters in which you can in fact not use as they have no landing space!

    Your odds at Egypt are 5% (you cannot use the fighters either)

    So to me an assault on Egypt or me UK fleet in IT1 seems not adviable ;)

    OK I realized you did not intend to attack Egypt but to put max pressure. It is an option although this was the reason I brought the India fighter in to keep the odds to kill your entire fleet very high.

    I can tell you that I would certainly not put my fleet at stake for these odds but I am considered the most risk averse player in the league and not always the benchmark when it comes to making bold moves.
