  • The rulebook says that combat ends when all units that can attack or retreat on one or both sides have been destroyed or the attacker retreats. There is also a provision for ending the battle if neither side can fire on the other. None of these conditions were met, therefore combat continues until they are. You have the option of retreating.


  • I will allow an edit of the turn where you only attack with the fighters and move the transports and carriers in during non-com. You would also have to edit UK’s non-com of an infantry and AA gun to Gibraltar since it is still a hostile territory.

  • Well, acording to the rules, since i withdrew from sz 91 battle, i must withdraw with all my sea units, not just transports.

    so my entire navy (2 ACs, 3 usa figs) + 1 uk fig go to sz 88

    My suggestion was to deem the battle to have only involved the fighters and non-com the transports and carriers to 91. I see no reason why you should be punished for misunderstanding the rules. So, everything gets moved to 91 and the fighters remain. Does this sound acceptable?
