A Tribute to "ABattleMap"

Do a search on this site, there are a few threads describing where and how to install.  Google it if you have to.  When I installed it last time it came with all the maps, no need to install other packages.  When it first runs it defaults to the original second edition map, select new map should present you with dozens of maps/games.

That’s very interesting.  Good for Atti.  I considered doing that myself, but MapView is written in a dead language so I didn’t think I’d get much participation with it.

I have installed the newest abattlemap and the map for the newest game but none of my maps have a toolbar or infobar. What am I doing wrong? Would someone please help me?

Did you install it using Holkann’s Installer? If so, you will find the map in the top left toolbar

Open your ABattlemap program Click on “New” at the upper left of the top toolbar and a menu should drop down Look for one of these titles “Axis & Allies 50th Anniversary Edition '41” or “Axis & Allies 50th Anniversary Edition '42” It will open the map for each scenario and it keeps track of what you do.

The best advice is to find someone or a few someones to play some games with you and walk you through it. I started palying on here in January and absolutely love it! I am just starting to learn how to play Global…which is another download into your ABattlemap program.

Darn, was hopin it was already done!  Hey, we gotta be first out the door, we don’t want that icky TripleA game showing us up!  We’re Abattlemap!  We’re the best!  (wink)

Let me know if you need anything other than me sitting down to deal with the 2nd edition rules, to help out.  I need to print them out and read them - one day.

Not as muich as you would think.  Copy/paste the pieces as necessary (done this before) and alter the text (also done this before.)

I used to use macs.  They were frustrating.  Some people like them.  That’s fine.  Some people like self-fladulation too.  Some people like Rocky-Road Ice Cream.  On both accounts, I do not like them.

As for ability to pick battles, you were the one attempting to make someone look stupid by picking out two quotes that exactly compliment each other and attempting to show a contradiction.  Not my fault you chose poorly.  Perhaps you’re the European leader who understands the basics of combat but who chooses the wrong target?
