The Shogun is a TripleA map and currently in Beta and is still therefore a WiP.

It is a collaborative map between Ebbe (Graphics) & TheDog (Code)

A historical map set about 1561 Japan, intended for many players to play a Free for All with the balance being played by the Hard AI 11 playable factions, comprising 10 Samurai Clans and the Ikko Ikki with Wako Pirates collectively called the The Rebels, all in their starting historical Provinces/Territories Clan Politics has 3 relationships, War (default), Neutral and Allied Large size map 11264x6140px, amongst one of the largest TripleA maps, with Unit size equivalent to 68x68px (54x54px x1.25 unit size). It is hoped that this is usable on 4K screens. The map has lots of Mountain Passes, lots of uncrossable Mountains and Rocky Shores channelling forces.

Well, it seems like Topmat has vanished from the forum. Too bad. Our second game was just underway and could have become interesting.
I do hope everything is alright for my former chess opponent.

Does anyone remember Hidden & Dangerous? It was a tactical squad-based FPS that was based on SAS missions in WWII.

It was so difficult, it was basically the “Dark Souls” of WWII shooters. One wrong move would trigger the alarm for an entire base and you would die in a hail of bulletfire. None of this “one man army” Call of Duty stuff, you had to think about every move, every kill to complete the mission.

I have fond memories of sitting around a CRT monitor with a couple of my friends, blanket draped over our heads so we could see better in the night missions, knuckles white with tension. Come to think of it, our moms were probably wondering what the hell we were looking at…  :lol:

There are reasons you pay same price -

Convenience
Redundancy
Operability (compatibility and patches/fixes/etc. always good)
Associated costs with hosting your game

I am still looking for a really good Civil War map file. Does anyone have any leads?

I pulled mine out of a closet a few months ago.  It slipped my mind for years that it was in their.  You’re right i forgot the tower thats because i’m always the orcs and want to forget trying to get the crossbowmen off the tower every freakin time.  Eh!

Hi guys, i’m not sure if this is the right place to ask about this, but here goes…

I’m from Total Annihilation, and recently I heard about a new client some guys from Axis & Allies have made, and that they made a version for TA aswell.
If these guys use this forum, please could you  help me out with my login problems to this client…when I try to log in I just get the error:

“Could not log in: OnConnect Socket Error # 10061
Connection Refused.”

i’ve tried multiple reinstalls / different usernames + passwords (I was told there is no ‘registration’ as such, just pick a name/password and go?)
I’ve been through regedit and deleted all warzone entries, tried a reinstall then, and still no luck. And yes, I put “2” for the ‘maximum users per computer’ question.

Thanks for any help!

P.S. TA is the best game, go buy it on ebay or something  :wink:
