I’ve tried this out a few times, it is like a “sneaky sea-lion”. I don’t usually have issues with US coming to liberate Britain in this scenario either because it is so fast. You can make it a real blind-side if you move the french troops back and move troops to the Russian front as if you’re preparing for a big Eastern push.
Follow the money?!

Should Berlin take Moscow, and then French troops take Berlin (while Paris is still occupied by Germany), who gets to keep all the money?
Almost had a scenario like this, so thought I’d ask.
-
No one, Mein Herr.
-
That is correct, the French would not know what to do with so much money
-
France would get to keep the money, but they wouldn’t be able to spend it until Paris was liberated.
-
Apologies Mein Herr: Chocolate Pancake is right and I am not.
Chocolate pancake: thank you.France keeps the money (and can’t spend until Paris is recaptured).

But thought only Power that can keep its money although occupied was China….

This is what happens when you capture an enemy capital while your own capital is under enemy’s control:
@rulebook:
…
You collect these IPCs even if your own capital is in enemy hands.
…This is what happens to China, when all Chinese territories are controlled by the enemy:
@rulebook:
… As a result, China does not have
a capital like other powers do. If all Chinese territories are
captured by Japan, China retains its unspent IPCs in hope
of liberation and does not give them to Japan.
…HTH :-)

Tx for the clarification!
