Thanks Midnight_Reaper this clears up the question. (Sorry I didn’t get back sooner, but I actually forgot that I had posted this question.)
A few questions
-
Hi, I just bought 1941, and haven’t played A&A for years.
First, as far as retreating, am I to understand that I can always retreat, even if I used up the item’s movement to get into combat? IE, can an infantry still retreat from battle?
Second, when in sea combat, the attacking force has lost all transport escort, but the defending force still has a destroyer, do those transports retreat, or are they stuck? The cargo cannot be off loaded, is that correct, because of the destroyer?
Thanks for any assistance.

Welcome to the forum, balmudo. As the attacker you can retreat after the first round of combat. You can not retreat ground units that are part of an Amphibious Assault (seaborne land units).

Attacking transports can retreat. The cargo can not be offloaded, as the seazone has not been cleared before.
Enjoy your game :-)

Thanks for the clarification. Trying to get this right. I always did get confused at transport rules. At least I don’t have to get into Anti-Aircraft for this version.

Hey guys,
after a couple of games i got 2 questions:
1- Can surface warships of both factions pass Gibraltar and Danish strait? Or can only the surface ships of the faction controling Gibralter / Denmark (western europe) pass there?
2- The rulebook state that if an faction’s capital is captured by the enemy, you lose all your current IPC to the conquering faction. Lets say Moskow is captured by Germany. Can Russia still colletc IPC’s since the got a factory in Caucasus… Or can you only collect IPC’s when you control your nations capital…? Or are there any other rules conserning this matter…?
I couldn’t work this out myself with the rulebook last game… Maybe i played too long haha
Thnx in advance,

Every ship can pass. Restrictions in this game apply only to the both canals: Panama Canal and Suez Canal.

See:
@rulebook:
The original controller of the captured capital is still in the game but cannot collect income from any territories he or she still
controls and cannot purchase new units.HTH :-)

Thnx P@nther!
To be 100% sure a follow up question i argued about with a friend…
When a nations capital is captured, but that nation still owns a second factory (Russia-Caucasus / GB-India-Australia), that nation can NOT collect income and/or buy new units… is that correct? -
That is correct, Jorkoni.
