Thank you. Yes I have printed FAQ sheets for players to look at, I just would love to have one less caveat to explain to players every time.

Game with fixed errata ?
I have 1941 with the 15 us iPcs on the board and old manual. I would like to buy one with the updated numbers (I know the manuals are available but I want the board too). Is there a way (mfg date etc) to tell before purchase that it contains the updated information ? Did they even do a run of boards with the updated information?

RE: Allies win?
The only game I participated in where I did well as a part of the allies
I (having the most games under my belt) was Russia.The following happened ;
-The US player was aggressive in the pacific against Japan (minimizing japan’s attention on the mainland)
-The UK player reinforced me in Moscow with fighters allowing me to be more aggressive with assets vs Germany
-As Russia I caught a decent amount of dice luck and Germany was left wondering what happened.
Now none of this is to say Allies won (we didn’t), but it certainly drug things out for a bit.

RE: Submarine surprise attack question
@Private:
Subs get the submerge or fight option at the beginning if each round of combat if there us no enemy destroyer present.
So I’m reading the FAQ and it says “if a submarine submerges to escape combat, when does it resurface? Immediately after the battle. Submerging simply removes subs from combat. Beyond that it has no further effect.”
That is to say the “battle” is the combat round and not the engagement in its entirety?
I ask because in the submarine unit profile it states “when a submarine submerges it is immediately removed from the battle strip and returned to the contested sea zone.” I have previously been playing that they are now no longer in this engagement in its entirety, and I don’t want to be playing it wrong. -
RE: Submarine surprise attack question
Thanks to both of you for your help.

Submarine surprise attack question
As I search the forum to answer my questions to avoid repeating a topic , I read that subs can surprise attack each round. Is that to be construed that they can surprise attack each round of a given combat? Or merely each combat turn of a global power?
Also when are subs capable of submerging? Anytime mid combat? Or only after casualty removal phase of a combat round?
Thanks in advance.

RE: Bridging with sub already used for amphib
Ah, I see. Well, we botched that one last evening then. I had transported the UK tank from Eastern Canada to Western Europe, and conducted an amphibious assault which I won. I then reinforced by bridging infantry across from UK using that same transport which didn’t need to move ( during non combat).
Prior to receiving a reply we settled on allowing it because under transport in unit descriptions it says a transport is allowed to be used by another unit to bridge across a single sz without being required to move (or something like that), which we took to mean “moving- as in having to be quote unquote used again”. I see now that they mean “moving- as in actually physically moving” and this merely permits the later type of use, not allows the former.
Ah well, now rounds 4-on will be meaningless due to a European force that shouldn’t exist. I just hate it when that happens…. :x -
RE: Bridging with sub already used for amphib
So essentially, can a transport moved in combat, be bridged off of in non combat.

Bridging with sub already used for amphib
If you amphibiously assaulted with a transport, can you then in non combat bridge off that transport without moving the transport at all? Or is that transport not able to be used, even for a no move bridging?
