Greetings,
Did you ever finish your map?
If so, can you share with community?
I am in process of selecting a map to print, and yours embodies much of what I am looking for in a map.

I’ve always had a problem with HBG’s “orange” Japanese units not being of the same tone of orange from OOB A&A… most other colors of custom HBG units seem to match pretty good, but that orange always seemed off to me… so much so I’ve never kept a custom HBG Japanese unit in my nation bins… sad, cuz I really like some of them.

(and yes, I’m one of those anal-retentive guys where if the color is just off a tad, it “ruins” it for me… I know I’m odd that way).

Just got mine, and I’m really pleased with them. :-)

The best approach I’ve seen was a friend who cut his factories in half with a hacksaw. Large factories are majors, while the smaller, halved factories are minors.

I’ve got mine painted three different colors. Bought a lot of 50 for a few dollars from a vendor at Nashcon in May 2016.

Before Nashcon, I used red Monopoly hotels for the major factories and the green hotels for minor factories. I still like to use the green ones every now and again because I think they’re nifty.

After building my AA50 table and a portable wargaming table, I think I’m tabled out (and let’s face it, I just don’t have any more room for tables in my already cramped household) but I did love making them.

After painting my entire AA50th set + a Spring 1942 set of pieces, I’d be more than willing to do more if the need arose.

Right now I’m more into Wargaming terrain and miniatures though.  There’s enough there to keep me pretty busy!

Those tanks are some of the best AA pieces I’ve ever seen! I really like the extra details added and especially like the matt finish.
