I’m considering picking up a Chromebook.  Has anyone gotten TripleA to work on a Chromebook?

  • You cannot run TripleA on a Chromebook when using only ChromeOS, because there is no Java Runtime Environment (JRE) available, that is necessary to run TripleA.

You can of course install a second OS (there are some Linux derivates available for Chromebooks) next to Chrome OS.
You can install JRE then and use TripleA. Just google for example “chrubuntu” for details.

  • It’s been some time since this question has been asked, but I just want to mention another workaround for people interested in this topic.

With “Chrome Remote Desktop” users can remotly access another computer through a Chromebook.

So if you keep for example a Windows computer with Java and TripleA running at home
you will be able to access it and play TripleA using your Chromebook when travelling.
