Great post Black Elk. Here are my usual US buys for the first 3 rounds.

1st 3 bombers. Save 6
2nd 3 bombers, Transport, infantry
3rd 2 bombers, Transport, 2 infantry
4th turn on can change based on bomber losses, German plane buys, and what Japan is doing.

The point with this build is to merge allied fleets off sea zone 13 on turn 3.

If you have the cash buy it. It’s better to have it than miss it. As Oz said also, the bigger board is soooo much nicer size wise.

I’ve got 41, for quick casual games, and introducing new players.
I’ve got global for epic weekend marathons  :-D.
And AA50, has served as my main game.

I just can’t think of a situation where I’d play this instead of AA50.

Maybe for consistency in rules? Anti-aircraft, etc.
I’m wondering then, what the main difference are, and if I could add them to AA50 as house rules? Pick up some colour coded AA guns and whatnot.
Think it’d disturb the balance too much?

The map is indeed bigger - I think a good size, in fact. There is still along the top of the map a place to track IPCs which I think could have been done without.
