What’s Germany doing on the U.S. West Coast? I’ve never seen a game where that could happen, although East Coast is possible, just not easy to hold for long.

Germany must defend on three fronts…
Eastern Europe, Africa and Western Europe.

You should disable the allies fleet as long as possible and hold your territory in Africa as long as possible.

Buy 8 inf and 1 transport on T1 (you can attack Egypt with maximum force on T2)

Keep buying infantry and hold the russians at base untill the Japs are at the gates from Moskou/.

MIB, you said earlier in this thread the US fleet is usually dead by the end of round 2. I assumed you attacked with the US fleet to lose it……

So, as America, you’re faced with getting hit with Pearl II, since the Brit builds a carrier you fly the 2 US ftrs to the carrier, just wanna get that straight.’ I’m guessing you don’t counter attack the Japanese fleet off of Pearl. Have you tried using the US transport as a blocker and move the BB next to Panama? Can still be hit but only by 2 ftrs and no navy.

You mention threatening S. Europe with the US on turn 4. That we require putting the US fleet in a postion where they lose 1 round of trans-atlantic shipping, not usually a good bet but might be called for on occasion.

Expert advice? Probably not, but here it goes anyway. I think you are right about not wanting to be in the atlantic. Too easy for US aircraft to just sink you on the way to England, WE, or FN.

T1 - One Transport, 8 Inf
I would use one fighter to get rid of the sub. You can leave the 1 inf in algeria and blitz the tank west to take the two territories south of Algeria and Libya, don’t remember the names. On non-combat you can ferry over two mor inf and now you have 3 in Libya, 1 in Algeria, and an armor in French West Africa. Be sure to put 4 inf in SE.
You may lose Algeria to the allies, but you can attack it on T2 with 3 inf and the tank can go north or east. If England still has one inf and 1 armor in egypt you can dump 4 inf a BB on it, assuming the sub is dead. If the sub isn’t dead I would go for it anyway and lose the BS if it hits. Send a fighter to the sub too, because you want to make sure it dies. Pain in the a** if the BS misses and it submerges.

Of course any strategy changes depending on what your oppenent does. One thing though. If you think your fleet is going to die before you get to use it again. I would use it as cannon fodder with the airforce to take out some of the now very scary allied fleet.

Take finland (kill 2 FIT, really, don’t care about finland) and Caucusus from Kariella? If they’re willing to leave 1 INF in Karielia, I don’t see how you can stop this from happening… They’ve got 4 ARM, 2 FIT, and 17 INF at their disposal… Sure, it would be VERY expensive for Russia, and they’d lose Kariella on G2, but Moscow is safe (as safe as it ever gets), and the USUK have an outside shot of re-taking Kariella on their T2…

I’d do:

8 Inf, 3 ARM, 1 FIT to Finland
9 Inf, 1 ARM, 1 FIT to Caucusus

I should take FIN with 3 ARM, 1 FIT left (ARM safe from counterattack, if UK kills TRN).
I should take caucusus with 1 ARM, 1 FIT… The ARM is toast on G2, but so what?

Land the FIT and build in Kariella. You’ve committed most of your forces to the Rusiian front, and you’re vulnerable for a USUK turn 2 landing in WEu…

Any navy Germany leaves in the UK sz will be sunk by the UK Air Force, and the ftrs can proceed to land in Karelia for defense of the Rodina (the Motherland.) Then UK may place any navy purchased in the UK sz. Maybe a carrier and a transport!

On the contrary, thug, the Germans need their Med. navy as long as possible to build defensive might in Africa. The longer they hold Africa the greater their income and the more successful the Germans will be.
