Re: Imperial borders
With this game being released next year I was wondering if HBG would be doing pieces for each country. I would be very interested. Thanks
Does any one have any info on this game? http://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/2904/john-prados-third-reich
if so would appreciate it. im thinking about buying it and want to know a little more about it
Don’t buy that. Buy the original version which was developed by Donald Greenwood is a classic. Prado’s was Don’s underling who wanted certain ideas that didn’t fit and didn’t get approved. AS Donald Greenwood’s career ended, Prado’s began to tinker with the classic and messed it up. He also tried to take credit for the original Third Reich and remade it with new combat system so he can make money. Nothing is better than the 1977 version and it is a classic.
well the one im looking at has an orange box cover, which i am to understand is the original, but board game geek advertises all of Third Reich games as Johns version. so to rephrase my original question. is the original version worth buying?
The original is good. Advanced Third Reich is better, especially when you combine it with Rising Sun. Play tested both. Both are good in conjunction with each other or by themselves.
i appreciate the offer Shelly, but i was able to find an original copy. thanks anyways
