Hmm, that Caroline move is not legal. Unescorted transports can’t unload in zones containing enemy subs. You must bring in a warship to amphibious assault Caroline Is. Let me know what you want to do.
-
Also, I thought ABattlemap was messed up, but Germany should have 1 fewer IPC - convoy disruption in z72 on Madagascar. :-P

Actually it is a legal move.
See page 17 Europe 1940 rule book (i’m sure there is similar wording in the Pacific rule book)
Amphibious Assualts
Step 1. Sea Combat
If there are defending surface warships and/or scrambled air units, sea combat occurs. If there are only defending submarines and/or transports, the attacker can choose to ignore those units or conduct sea combat.I choose to ignore the sub.

Since we are playing Alpha+.2, the new rules state: Point 11
“11. Submarines no longer fire a special “sneak attack” shot at unescorted transports. Transports are not allowed to unload land units for an amphibious assault in a sea zone containing an enemy sub(s) belonging to a power with which they are at war unless at least one of his warships was also present in the sea zone at the end of the Combat Move phase.”

I stand corrected, good call, I didn’t see that one. I will still attack Caroline but revamp the move to comply and adjust NCM, if that’s acceptable.
-
no dce were rolled so anything goes I’d say.

Yeah, that’s no problem. I agree that since no dice were rolled, no biggy.
-
Ok, move 1DD from SZ6 to satisfy the rule, but will still ignore the sub. Not really sure what’s the point of this rule, think I’ll ping Krieg on it. No change to NCM, SZ6 just has 1 less DD.
-
ok, I can’t hold my tongue any longer. I have to say it. Anchovy, that is the Gayest avatar I have ever seen in A&A!!!
there, I said it.

Every once in a while I like an achovy on my pizza or Ceaser salad. They are harmless little critters and add a nice bit of salt.

can’t remember the name but it was a disney film. Don Knotts? or somebody turned into a fish and helped the navy or something. Barely recall. Was over 30yrs ago!
