In the case you have explained it can. If Germany has taken any UK territory(Canada or Africa), then the US will collect the income if it retakes it.
As soon as London is liberated, the former UK  territories the US recaptured from the Germans will return to the UK.

In a combat move, you can move as many troops as you like from as many territories as you want. For example, if America took over the Kwangtung, the Japanese could make a joint attack from French Indochina and Manchuria. If there was two infantry and a tank in Manchuria, you could use all of them to mount the attack. If you do not have any troops in a territory, it is still under your control until an enemy takes it. You can mount completely seperate battles in the space of one turn as long as they don’t happen at the same time.

Now for the dice question. When you place your troops on the battle strip in the correct places, you can see a units attack number. You roll once for each unit, even if they have the same attacking or defending number. If you roll that unit’s number or less, you score a hit.

Lastly, I must give some fighter/bomber clarification. If you have planes on an island, and you see a ship or fleet coming towards, most likely for an amphibious assault, then you can bomb the ships IF the ships have finished their turn, and it is now yours. Remember, ships can move two sea zones per turn. I do not fully understand your second question. It does not matter whether enemy ships are in a sea zone friendly to you or not. You can send fighters and bombers over the ships both ways, as long as you have enough moves for the plane to get back to friendly land or sea territories. However, I would advise not to send bombers to attack ships that are in a sea zone right next to where the enemy has amassed AA guns.

Still a bit unsure as to why I would use Artillery. A 2/2 unit for 4 IPCs versus a 3/3 unit for 5. Artillery may support infantry but Tanks have got 2 move and Blitz, which more or less cancel each other out. Using Artillery as the Soviets to help Infantry take and hold WR or something along there makes sense, but other than that I don’t see why I would ever build them instead of tanks, as I’d have to invest a fairly hefty amount of IPCs to get a significant numerical advantage.

That being said, I’ve only had this game for a day or so, so I’m sure there’s something I could be missing out on.

No. Your one movement is the loading onto the transport. Any land unit on a transport can be loaded and offloaded on a single turn but it takes up all their movement.

Hey all, quick question.  Let’s say Japan attacks the US with a battleship, carrier, and 2 fighters.  The US defends with a carrier and two fighters.  Turn one the US takes 2 hits and chooses to remove the carrier and a fighter.  If Japan calls off the attack at that point to avoid letting the fighter roll another dice, does the remaining US fighter simply die off as it has no carrier to land on?  Or does it have the option of re-basing somewhere?

The remaining US fighter can move 1 space to land at a friendly territory/island/carrier. It it can’t land then it is destroyed.

My source also says that August 18 is the date. I was also told that review copies would not be available until next week but I already got scooped on the photos and details of the game.

That’s okay, I guess, my review won’t go on and on and on about how broken and unplayable the game is without money.

I have some possibly good news for GEN CON on the heels of the Triple A shutdown…

I have just been informed that WotC will have a lot of 25 AA42 games at GEN CON
and I will be getting 6 copies myself. Now, I just talked to my
supporter and he seemed pretty confident in that it will officially hit
the shelves on August 18. So, he doesn’t see a reason why 42 shouldn’t
be out at GEN CON…

We know that the map territories will be exactly the same as revised. We know that the naval rules from AA50 will be implemented in AA42. It has not been confirmed that all the other rules from AA50 will make it into AA42. My guess is that all rules from AA50 will enter the new AA42, with possible exceptions of the 4 optional rules in AA50.
At this time it’s only speculations, but it would be cool if also the optional rules from AA50 will replace the current revised rules.

At least we won’t have a broken China in AA42 :-D :-) :lol: :roll:

would of loved some changes, like bigger north africa
but do like 1 thing bout revised map that i hate in AA50: scandinavia
(5 IPC is to much, and you can’t control it with germany for more than 2 rounds max)
