naaah, you’ve got poland, france, denmark, norway, netherlands (belgium, holland, luxembourg), all occurred before Dunkirk, plus maybe you could hit east poland or finland before the USSR. could even hit stuff with Italy/Japan earlier too… sky’s the limit!

The mould Maker now has all our sculpts and our directions for the project! He is formulating a quote for me and I should have the answer in a few days. The COST he comes up with will determine how fast this project moves forward.

If pre-orders are needed to fund the project I think a complete list of represented units is called for. A couple of renders from the artist depicting the sculpts would be appreciated as well.
That is a great idea. I will see what I can pull together. If we do pre-orders I will create a web page with updates and information including pictures of proto-types and 3D printed samples.

The latest info from FMG has got me re-focused on the game pieces….At least for the next five minutes or so.

no you have already excceded the limit, only finland happened in 39, the norway campaign would be interesting if there was an airborne peice, and there was hardly a battle in the netherland, although I agree that the game should start at the begining of May so that it includes the first part of the battle or France.
but anyways, I am really glad to hear the news FMG, keep it up!
I would 100% sure to buy at least 2 complete sets ! (if they arent too expensive that is XD) seriously
ps: Maybe adding units like what tabletactics did http://tabletactics.com/aa_accessories.html had ? most are just upgrades from orignal units (like super bombers and jet fighters) , but there’s also some good new units to look into ( i love the landing craft idea ) , if its not a priority right now perhaps a different project soon follow ? XD
Also it would be nice to include the new rules for new units on the site or inside packaging like what table tactics did

The packaging should be in a box with the pieces on sprues. The shipping box and box for the pieces could be the same box as long as its sturdy.
I have three questions at this point. First, when you sell the pieces, are you going to sell them by nations (e.g. American set = $15, British set = $15, …) or are you only going to sell them as a complete set of nations (Americans, British, Russians, Germans, Japanese, Italians = $80)? I would like to see them offered by nations and have a discount for buying 4 sets, 5 sets or 6+ sets. In this way, folks that play Pacific could buy the sets they want without paying for Italians and Germans. Also folks could buy one set at a time if they were on a tight budget. Also 5 sets = Revised and 6 sets = AA50.
Second, what price level are you kicking around right now?
Third, when do you see this coming to market? In time for Christmas?
As mentioned earlier, I would consider making some US pieces in UK colors and possiblt some German pieces in Italian colors. This won’t matter to me because I paint mine anyway, but some may want to have these. Maybe you could call them Allied cross dressers. :-D

AA50 starts 1941, AA40’s start May 26th - Evacuation of British Expeditionary Force from Dunkirk… so:
September 1st, 1939 - Germany invades Poland.
May 10th, 1940 - Germany invades France
April 9th, 1940 - Germany begins occupation of Denmark and invades Norway.
May 10th, 1940 - Germany invades (Netherlands) Belgium, Holland and Luxembourg.
September 17th, 1939 - Soviet Union invades eastern Poland.
November 30th, 1939 - Soviet Union invades Finland.

yeah, that’d work, should be easier on the handling fees and FMG’s time and expenses too. Personally for the box I’d think it would be go big or go home. Either a top notch box with power’s names/roundels or just the simple shipping box and we can get our own boxes to sort any other pieces from stock games we’d like. Or just both options with associated price difference. but the pieces really have to be the priority.
I like the box idea. I offered to design the package and i will do a good job!
