  • Holy crap…what a slugfest, right till the very end!  I didn’t realize there was a 3 max on scramble, thanks for pointing that out.  I still would’ve scrambled as I really wanted that fleet of yours gone.  I was honestly hoping to still have at least one surface warship left, oh well.

    Okay – FYI, I’m not looking to take my turn tonight…it’ll be sometime tomorrow.  Great battle!

    Yeah, they changed the scramble rule for the 2nd edition.  So if you have a first edition board game, the rulebook is out of date.  It was changed mostly because Japan starts out with SOO many planes, they could leave them in Japan or anywhere and prevent the US from amphibing anything.  3 is still useful, but not as game-changing as the ability to scramble 15 planes as Japan can do from the beginning.
